So I seem to be making a habit of doing drawings in class on Monday afternoons. Which happens to be my Theories of Culture class. And today I drew a princess. So, I present to you:

Enjoy.

The Goddess shows up again Monday, April 21, 2008

Did a drawing in class today. It deserves a scan, or at least a better picture, but here it is:

Goddess

I say she shows up “again” because I did a pastel drawing for Keegan a few years back that had a goddess as its central feature. The drawing started off as Christmas present for someone else, but I wound up putting my feelings for him into the drawing, then framing it and sending it off to Caltech. He once did a ridiculously high-rez scan of it, but it crashed my old computer (probably by taking up all the memory) whenever I tried to load it up so I deleted it.

It’s possible that it’s the same goddess, but it’s probably not the same aspect. For one thing, this one’s a lot more sexual and “mother”-ish than the old one, which had more of a “maiden” feel to it.

Now I’m curious to find out what life experiences will inspire me to draw crones. Oh wait, I think I feel something coming on…

false alarm

(For the non-pagan/non-RS-majors: an explanation of the Triple Goddess.)
